Our Positions

Of The Scriptures

We believe the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired by God using godly men and their unique personalities as led by the Holy Spirit and are without error in the original writings and have been providentially preserved so they are of sufficient and supreme authority in faith and life.

Of the True God

We believe there is one and only one living and true God. We believe that this God has revealed Himself in Scripture as existing eternally in three distinct persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit; that these three are the one living and true God.

Of the Person and Work of Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross. (John 1:1, 2, 14; Romans 3:25; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Hebrews 7:25, 9:24; Romans 8:34).

Of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine person coequal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature. (John 14:16-17; Ephesians 1:13-14; Hebrews 9:14; Romans 8:14, 16)

Of Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God but that in Adam’s sin the race of man fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God and that man is totally depraved, and of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12)

Of Salvation

We believe that salvation is possible only through the substitutionary and vicarious death of Christ for man. We believe that faith in the finished work of Christ is the only condition of salvation from sin and this salvation is wholly of grace, that no works, however good, make that salvation more secure. Salvation is a free gift from God.

Of the Church

We believe that a local church is a congregation of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel.

Of the Ordinances of the Church

We believe in the two ordinances of the church, that was instituted by Jesus Christ. Baptism by immersion shows the believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of His death until He comes.

Of the Eternal State

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal bliss, and the unsaved to judgment and eternal punishment.

Of Last Things

We believe in that “blessed hope;” the personal imminent premillennial and pre-tribulational coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; and in His subsequent return to earth, with His saints, to establish His Millennial Kingdom.
